1. Scope

This policy applies to the Sankofa Tech Labs website and to information shared with us in connection with our software, product, engineering, consulting, and support services. It does not replace a separate privacy agreement that may apply to a specific client project.

2. Information we collect

We may receive contact details and project information when you email us, request a proposal, or communicate with us. This may include your name, work email, organization, role, message, project requirements, and any information you choose to include.

Our hosting infrastructure may also process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, and error logs for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. This website does not currently use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, understand and scope projects, provide and improve services, communicate about an engagement, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and keep appropriate business records.

We do not use confidential client information to train a public AI model. If a project involves AI or data processing, the relevant use, safeguards, retention, and permissions will be agreed with the client.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with trusted providers that help us host the website, communicate by email, manage projects, process payments, or provide infrastructure. They may only use information as needed to provide their service and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

If a Paystack payment link or checkout is used, payment information is processed by Paystack and is subject to Paystack's privacy notice. Sankofa Tech Labs does not receive or store full card numbers.

5. Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, an active engagement, legitimate business records, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs. You may also object to or limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
